Our video gallery consists of videos from Mid-Atlantic Contemporary Ballet's early days, featuring some of our first dancers who worked with us at the very start of the company, and videos of later company members who we have had the pleasure of working with along the way! This section also highlights the diversity of our choreography, from historical drama pieces, classical ballet pieces, and modern and contemporary pieces! There are also videos in this section that are not just MAC Ballet dancers, but dancers from other institutions that I have been and are currently affiliated with, and have had the pleasure of choreographing on! Also featured are some of the collaborations that we have had the privilege doing!

MAC Ballet & Anime' BOP!


One of the first collaborations that we did was with the music trio Anime' BOP! (Bassoon, Oboe, Piano)! The project was called "Now See Hear" and it featured choreography of mine and Co-Founder Miriam Scigliano!

In this section of NOW SEE HEAR, choreographed by myself, original company member Liz Doyle (Munshour) dances the role of "ANDROMECHAEI"! In the legendary Homer epic, Andromechaei was the wife of the heroic Hector, Prince of Troy!

"CASSANDRA" is one of the variations or sections of the NOW SEE HEAR collaboration! CASSANDRA was one of the central characters in the Euripides tragedy "The Trojan Women"! This variation is danced by original company member Angela Cipparone Zimmick

MAC Ballet & BUFFALO CITY BALLET



The Artistic Director of Buffalo City Ballet, Mr. Marvin Askew and I have had a long standing relationship that began when I became the Artistic Director of Dance at La Roche University! Marvin Askew and I collaborated and combined forces on many different projects and ballets, so it was only natural for that relationship to continue when Miriam and I left LRU to start MAC Ballet! In this video, MAC Ballet company member Alexis Bomer and new company member Michaela Hoelldobler performs the Merlitons Variation in the Buffalo City Ballet's "THE NUTCRACKER". SR. THEA BOWMAN AWARDS DINNER PERFORMANCE



Mid-Atlantic Contemporary Ballet and our affiliated school, Impact Dance Center was invited to be a part of, and perform at the Sister Thea Bowman Black Catholic Awards Dinner, 25th Anniversary Celebration. The dancers performed two selections, "Great Day" which they were accompanied by St. Charles Lwanga Church Choir, and "The Lord's Prayer". This is Mac Ballet company member Alexis Bomer performing "The Lords Prayer", sung by Mahalia Jackson.

I'm Gonna Live The Life I Sing About


When I was the Director of Dance at La Roche University I began working on a ballet that would be an ode to my grandmother and my church upbringing in Connecticut! My grandmothers favorite singer was Mahalia Jackson, and her favorite song of Mahalia's was "Move On Up A Little Higher", thus that ballet was born! Move On Up A Little Higher affectionately known as "Mahalia", first consisted of 4 soloist dancers each with their own variation culminating in an ensemble finale performed to the song which is the title of the ballet! Over the years I expanded on the ballet by adding a choir section with the choir having 3 sections of their own! When Miriam and I left LRU "Mahalia" went with us being one of MAC Ballet's signature ballets! "I'm Gonna Live The Life" danced by company member Liz Doyle!

MAC Ballet Historical Repertoire Reel



Being a ballet dancer wasn't my first and only love! At one point in my life I wanted to be an ancient historian! When I started teaching and choreographing - that historical passion spilled over into my artistic life - and ballet gave me a platform to bring my versions of the ancient world to life!

During the early days of the company I began working on a new period piece ballet based loosely on the life of the fictional Anna Karenina simply titled "ANNA"! This video is the first love pas de deux of Anna and Count Vronsky danced by company members Iona Newell and Demond Malrey!

Last of the Trojan Women POLYXENA



I first sketched out my ballet Last of the Trojan Women on MAC Ballet back in the early days of the company. The ballet didn't really come into it's full realization until I was teaching and choreographing on Seton Hill Department of Theatre and Dance! I then decided that I'd choreograph the ballet in it's entirety exclusively for Seton Hill Department of Dance! This section is "POLYXENA" and features Madison Harry as Polyxena and Jonathan Meilaender as Neoptolomus! Out of all of the sections of the ballet, Polyxena is my personal favorite because of it's dramatic intensity choreographically and musically!

DEGAS



I first choreographed DEGAS when I was the Artistic Director of Dance at La Roche University on my program there! DEGAS is loosely based off of KONSERVETORIETTE ~ a Bournonville ballet focusing on the Bournonville technique and style of his period ~ and the style and era of Edgar Degas ~ the Romantic Era! Like Trojan Women, DEGAS really didn't come into it's full form until I was teaching and choreographing on the students at Seton Hill Dance Department! DEGAS features company member Katie Montefiori (then a senior dance major at Seton Hill University) in the principal role!

I first staged PAQUITA during the time when I was Director of Dance at La Roche University! Paquita became a staple in our repertoire! Because of the pandemic I staged a very scaled back version of Paquita featuring then dance major senior Shelby Walsh and Alyssa Frank!

Seton Hill Dance Dept Sleeping Beauty Grand Pas De Deux! Mr. Stefan Zubal - former Assistant Professor of Dance, and I collaborated on Sleeping Beauty's III Act, Aurora's Wedding. I set the Grand Pas De Deux - with dancers Jonathan Meilaender and Shelby Walsh.
